Old-Fashioned Farmers’ Days

Date: August 30 and 31, 2025

Time: 9 am to 5 pm

Place: Silk Hope Farm Heritage Park, 4221 Silk Hope Road, Siler City, NC

Cost: 5 dollars. Children under 6 admitted for free

Features: Entertainment, working farm animals, junior dairy show, tractor pull with separate ticket, skydiving, antique farm equipment, more.

African American Cultural Festival of Raleigh and Wake County

Date: August 30 and 31, 2025

Time: Check back soon for the confirmed schedule. Last year it took place 11 am to 10 pm both days

Place: Fayetteville Street, Raleigh, NC

Cost: Free

Features: A Labor Day tradition in Raleigh. Celebration of African American culture through art, music, dance, food, and community.

Bynum Front Porch Concert: Bluegrass Experience

Date: Friday, August 29, 2025

Time: 7 pm

Features: Relaxed outdoor concert at a historic general store.

Come Out and Play Sculpture Show

Date: August 30, 2025. Additional dates: August 23 and 24. September 6, 13, 20

Cost: Free

Features: Wide array of fun sculptures and music in a magical setting. More than 50 artists on a 17 acre farm. Family friendly.

Features: Shop hundreds of indoor and outdoor vendors. Antiques, power tools, jewelry, art, and more.

Treasures of the Earth Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show

Date: August 29 to September 1, 2025

Time: Friday noon to 6 pm. Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm. Monday 10 am to 4 pm

Place: Kerr Scott Building at the NC State Fairgrounds, 1025 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raleigh

Cost: 8 dollars for adults. Free for ages 16 and under. Ticket is good for the whole weekend

Features: Precious and semi precious gemstones, pearls, beads and beading supplies, fossils, minerals, crystals, gems, and finished jewelry in gold and silver. 14K, 18K and platinum fine jewelry, hand crafted custom designs, fashion jewelry, and sterling silver.

End of Summer Block Party at Gipson Play Plaza
